Mr. John Moseley

Senior Director of Trade Development, Port Houston


John Moseley joined Port Houston as General Manager of the Trade Development Department in February 2010, earning the title of Senior Director in 2014. He has 30+ years of professional experience with ocean carriers, international freight forwarders, customs house brokers and beneficial cargo owners in the U.S. and overseas. His most recent position prior to joining the port authority was as Director of Sales, U.S. Gulf Coast Region with CMA CGM, the world’s third largest ocean carrier where he generated record revenue of US$225 Million per year for the territory.

Moseley earned a bachelor’s degree in international business administration from California State University at Los Angeles and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Isenberg School of Management.

In his position at Port Houston, he leads a domestic and internationally based team dedicated to generating revenue and driving cargo volume, vessel calls and overall growth through Houston via Port Houston facilities. Moseley actively serves in leadership positions of the Retail Industry Leaders Association, National Green Coffee Association, American Institute for International Steel and the Greater Houston Partnership.
